About AutoSpec Index

AutoSpec Index is a database of vehicle specifications, dimensions, fuel economy and recalls. Pages are built from structured records, not written by hand, and each figure names the source it came from.

How the data is collected

Records are imported automatically from public and official sources such as NHTSA and the US EPA, on a schedule. When two sources disagree, we keep the value from the more trusted source or hold the conflict for review. We do not estimate missing values: if a source does not publish a figure, the page says it is not available.

What we do not do

• We do not invent specifications, prices, ratings or reviews.
• We do not publish images unless their licence allows it and is recorded.
• We do not index pages that lack enough verified data to be useful.
